BOFA C180 Combined Filter

The BOFA C180 Combined Filter (1UA1030050) is a genuine replacement filter designed for the BOFA AD Base C180 laser fume extraction system. It combines HEPA particulate filtration with activated-carbon gas filtration in a single filter assembly.

The filter uses glass-fibre HEPA media in a maxi-pleat construction with webbing spacers, providing approximately 2.75 m² of filter media area. The HEPA section is rated at 99.997% efficiency for particles at 0.3 microns, allowing it to capture very fine particulate carried in extracted laser fumes.

A substantial quantity of treated activated carbon is incorporated into the filter to provide gas-phase filtration. BOFA specifies 9 kg of treated activated carbon for this filter. The carbon is intended to remove a range of gaseous contaminants/VOCs, although BOFA notes that carbon suitability depends on the particular application and contaminants being extracted.

The filter is housed in a mild-steel casing, providing a robust replacement assembly for demanding extraction applications. The C180 uses this combined filter downstream of its pre-filter, with the pre-filter removing larger particulate before the air reaches the HEPA and carbon stages.

Filter materials are non-toxic and therefore can be disposed of under normal waste conditions, subject to analysis of the collected particulate and/or Gas.
